Build Edition ($49). A digital product: the O.R.B. 2 print files (3MF), the bill of materials, the 1:1 copper template, the compiled firmware with its source and build workflow, and access to the BIY Portal (the guided build) for the order. Delivery is instant: the portal link appears after checkout and is emailed to the address you used.
Custom-built units. A device built to order by the maker — printed, wired, tuned and numbered by hand — with the Build Edition included. Offered in small runs to the custom-build list; price and lead time are stated with each run.
You (the original purchaser) may print the models for your own personal, non-commercial use, as many times as you like, and modify prints you have made for your own use. You may not redistribute, re-upload, share, sell or sublicense the files or derivatives of them in any format, sell printed copies without a written commercial license, or remove embedded notices. The files are watermarked and traceable to your order. The firmware is open source under its own licenses (ZMK: MIT); this license covers the models, diagrams and the portal.
Digital files cannot be returned once delivered. If the portal or the kit does not open or is incomplete, write to connect@orbit-sense.com within 14 days and it will be fixed or refunded. Custom-built orders can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the unit is printed; after that, a build-to-order unit is yours.
A device you build from the Build Edition is your device. It is not tested, certified or warranted by O.R.B., and you are responsible for the parts you source, the way you print and assemble it, and its use. Read the safety notes below before you start.
Built to order and hand-finished; small differences between units are the nature of the thing. Each unit is checked before it ships. If a unit arrives damaged or faulty, write within 14 days and it will be repaired or replaced. Batteries are consumables. Radio compliance: the unit uses a pre-certified Bluetooth module; it is a small-run maker product, not a mass-market certified appliance.
